Women’s Self Care Circle

January Theme:

Embracing the Winter Phase of Life’s Cycles

Sunday, January 14th, 2-4pm

$25

Space is limited!

In nature around us, winter is a time of rest. Trees go dormant, many animals hibernate, and fields lay fallow to replenish the nutrients of the soil. It is not a time of outward action. It is a time for just being and allowing the unseen powers of rest to work their magic.

Many of us (myself included) don’t feel much possibility to really embrace the winter energy. Instead life gets busy during the holidays and then along comes January 1st with the encouragement to start back up, resolutions and all.

But wait. Aren’t we still in the middle of winter? Join me and other women to go “counterculture” and let’s connect with nature’s true winter energy as we gather for January’s Women’s Self Care Circle. This will be your time to receive …

~Space to recharge your energy after the holidays

~Space to simply BE without feeling pressure to jump headfirst into the new year

~Space to let go of obligations and be held in the “womb of winter”

~Space to experience quiet and stillness

~Space to be in community with others who also value rest, quiet, and stillness

If there’s any resolution I’d love to support you in creating for 2024, it is establishing a practice of honoring winter energy. Rest, slowing down, simplifying, being quiet and still … these are all qualities that are severely undervalued in our culture today. It’s time to reclaim the winter vibes to find balance.

January is the perfect time to do this since we are within the winter season. So we have a good starting point for cultivating truly restful self care practices.

And … looking ahead, I know we will all need rest and rejuvenation at times throughout the ENTIRE year. So I will also share about three other cycles besides the yearly seasonal cycle that can remind us to drop into winter self care mode periodically.

  1. The day/night cycle … honoring night time as the winter of the 24 hour cycle.

  2. The menstrual cycle … honoring the menstruation phase of your monthly cycle as a natural “inner winter” time.

  3. The lunar cycle … honoring the new moon phase as a natural monthly winter time.

January Women’s Self Care Circle activities will include:

  • Short, gentle yoga practice to release tension & prepare for rest

  • Guided visualization with the wise woman archetype as a nurturing companion

  • Yoga nidra practice for deep relaxation

  • Journaling

  • Tips/Q&A about winter phase self care for life’s cycles

About Your Host: Abbie Silvers

As a Cyclical Self Care Coach, I recognize that nature’s cycles within and around us provide an amazing map to follow for self care. Cycles are naturally regenerative and sustainable. All we have to do is start living in harmony with these cycles and I promise, you will begin to find more ease and flow in your life.

I support women in becoming more aware of nature’s cycles (the seasonal wheel, the circadian rhythm of day/night, the lunar cycle, and the menstrual cycle) and learning how to harness the innate power of these cycles to experience intuitive, life-giving self care.

I offer virtual group & 1:1 coaching for women, as well as monthly in person self care circles.
