Description: This is a 3 hour workshop designed to empower young women. We will explore topics that are relative to all young women including: self-image/self-love, strength, boundaries/relationships. This workshop is designed to create a safe space for these topics to be explored. There will be a combination of discussion and physical yoga practice. The purpose of this workshop is to empower young women and encourage them to embrace themselves, as they are always enough.
Time: Saturday 5/4/19 from 11AM- 2PM
Location: Elevate Community Yoga- 899 W. Roseburg Avenue Modesto, CA 95350
Cost: $45 per child

With Veronica Tovar. Veronica is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and owner of Breathing Through Counseling & Wellness Services, located in Modesto. Veronica earned her Master’s of Social Work from California State University, Stanislaus in 2012 and has an extensive background working with children and adolescents. Veronica has served as a therapist in various settings for children and utilizes the following therapy methods: play therapy, sandplay, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-focused CBT, solution-focused therapy, and family therapy. In addition to being an LCSW, Veronica is also a registered yoga instructor and received her training at Elevate Community Yoga. Veronica teaches a weekly vinyasa class at Elevate as well as trauma informed yoga class and workshops. For this series Veronica has integrated her knowledge as both a LCSW and a yoga instructor to create a self-image and skills building group for adolescent girls. Through this series Veronica hopes to assist adolescent girls to empower themselves in spirit, mind, and body.
