This class has been tailored to beginners and to people who would like to break down some basic poses with time to ask questions and receive feedback. In this specific class, we will introduce some standing postures, including:
Tadasana, mountain pose
Virabhadransa II (warrior II)
Parvottanasana (intense side stretch pose),
Prasarita Padottansana (wide legged forwards bend)
Adho Mukha Svanasana (down dog)
We hope to continue growing these Yoga Basics classes with different foundational focuses on postures, breath, alignment, sequencing and all the basics in between! This is perfect for those that have never done yoga before but want to start with something accessible, those that say they aren’t flexible enough to do yoga (we’ve all been there) and anyone just wanting a deeper understanding of the basics.
